Here's your chance to improve your riding skills, no matter what your riding level.
Motorbike riders in and around the Waikato can take to part in subsidised training days by NZ Transport Agency and Waikato District Council, Hamilton City Council and Waipa District Council.
Four safety training days will be held in Betham Park in Hamilton, to improve the skills of riders of all levels and experience, from people taking up a new hobby to those who have been riding for years.
Novice and intermediate rider courses will be held on Saturday, 6 October and Saturday, 10 November.
Experienced rider courses will be on Sunday, 7 October and Sunday 11 November.
All courses run from 9am to 4pm, and are for licenced riders only.
The courses have a mixture of theory and practical sessions in a closed road setting and aim to increase the confidence levels of riders and cover cornering, braking, bike maintenance and slow speed manoeuvres.
The training is being delivered as part of the NZ Transport Agency Safer Journeys road safety strategy. The subsidised cost is $50 per day and places are strictly limited, with bookings essential.
