Rural Economic Advisory Panel

The Rural Economic Advisory Panel is one of Council’s engagement mechanisms with the rural economic sector and rural communities in the Waikato district, the Panel provides advice, a sounding board and rural voice to Council to support good decision-making and outcomes.

It is also a mechanism for Council to share information to keep our rural stakeholders informed of Council matters, district opportunities and decisions. 

Reports to: Community Voice & Choice Committee 

Chair: Cr Carolyn Eyre

Deputy Chair: Cr Grant Coombes

Membership: 

  • Cr P Thomson
  • Cr Dixon-Harris 

Meeting frequency: Three Monthly (maximum of four per year)   

Quorum: Half the members appointed for the meeting.
